CTPSDP Direct Assistance Grant Scheme - Call for Proposal

1st Call for Proposals - Applications are now invited

The Caribbean Trade and Private Sector Development Programme (CTPSDP) is financed by the European Union and will be implemented by Caribbean Export on behalf of the CARIFORUM member states and by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States/Export Development Unit (OECS/EDU) for the OECS countries.  

The Caribbean Trade and Private Sector Development Programme will form a major part of the Agency’s work, of which the Direct Assistance Grant Scheme will be a significant component.  The Scheme will focus on financial assistance to the private sector and Business Support Organizations (BSOs) of CARIFORUM member states, on a reimbursable basis. 

The implementation period of projects approved under this call will be a maximum of 6 months. 

Applications may be submitted on an individual or group basis. 

The Scheme will be administered under two components: Regular Procedures and Accelerated Procedures. Direct assistance may not exceed 70% of the total eligible costs of the project. The balance must be financed from the applicants or their partners’ own resources, or from other funding sources including the donor community. 

Direct Assistance (Regular Procedures), must fall within the following parameters: 

·         Minimum amount - EUR 5,000 

·         Maximum amount - EUR 65,000 Applicants may be awarded a maximum of EUR 200,000 during the life of the Scheme. Applications for funds under the Regular Procedure must be made directly to Caribbean Export. 

Direct Assistance (Accelerated Procedures), must fall within the following parameters: 

·         Minimum amount - EUR 1,000 

·         Maximum amount – less then EUR 5,000 

Applicants may be awarded up to a maximum of EUR 30,000 over the life of the Scheme Applications for funds under the Accelerated Procedures may be submitted through designated National Trade Promotion Organisation.
