In 2008, the Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association Ltd. (JMA) will host its 40th Annual Awards Banquet. The event is held yearly to show recognition to manufacturing companies that have made a significant impact on industry and Jamaica, and have excelled in various areas. The categories for the Awards Presentation include:
Manufacturer of the Year:
- Manufacturer of the Year
- New Manufacturer of the Year [solely for those in operations for less than 6 years]
- Breakthrough Manufacturer of the Year
Champion Exporter:
- Large Exporter [export revenue exceeding US$5 million]
- Medium Exporter [export revenue of US$1-$5 million]
- Small Exporter [export revenue less than US$1 million]
Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce Award for Competitiveness
Robert Lightbourne Award for Productivity
Best Environmental Management Programme
The Jamaica Public Service Company Ltd. (JPSCo.) Award for Best Use of Energy and Resource Efficiency
